As a blogger or website publisher, you have probably heard about the importance of content. You need articles for your weekly ezine, articles for your website to keep it fresh, and even more articles if you're selling your own ebooks. Yikes! Now, before you break into a sweat, there are ways to get all of the content that you could possibly need -- without sitting on your bottom for 12 hours each day, typing your little fingers off.

But, first, why is content so important? Here are a few reasons...

First, search engines, like Google.com love content. They value content more than anything so the more pages you have on your website or blog filled with quality content, the better. Note: Quality content is valued. Junk content is penalized. So, stick to quality over quantity.

Second, great content adds value to those who come to your website or blog. When people come to a website that offers a lot of value, they're much more likely to tell others about it, link to the site themselves, talk about it on forums, digg it, and come back frequently to see what's new.

Third, quality content establishes you as an expert in your field. If you're writing and sharing great information, people will begin to look at you as their "go to" person for information on that topic. You're reading this article right now, aren't you?

So, how do you get content for your site? Basically, when looking for content, you have a few options.

1. Write the articles yourself. This is, of course, the option that most "do it yourself" publishers choose and there's nothing wrong with it. However, some of the options below will afford you a bit more freedom and help you to reach new levels of efficiency (and business growth).

2. Get a Great Writer. A ghostwriter is a freelancer who writes for you but you take the credit. There are many sites on the web where you can find frelancers. Start by searching google.com, or go to sites like elance.com or shelancers.com to look around. Most biographies are written by ghostwriters. Almost every politician on the planet uses a speech writer. When time is short, get a ghostwriter to give your project a quick boost.

3. Team up with others. Find other online business owners looking for exposure and recruit them as featured columnists or guest bloggers. They'll be glad to do it for the exposure and you'll benefit by having more content for your site. This is a great way to add value to your ezine, as well.

4. Hit the Article Directories. Places like EzineArticles.com, Isnare.com and FreeAffiliateArticles.com are packed with quality articles that you can reprint on your site, as long as you remember to include the author bio at the end. For instance, look at the bottom of this article -- it's free and you can publish it on your website as long as you include that blurb.

5. Load up on PLR content. PLR articles are an internet marketer's answer to a prayer. PLR stands for Private Label Rights and means that you can freely edit the articles from these sites, and publish them on your website without being required to link back to any other sites. You become the expert when using PLR articles. Personalize the articles, tweak them for your market, insert examples or photos or case studies and publish them on your website -- or just use them as they are. Either way, you gain a lot of flexibility when working with PLR. Not only that but they are very cost effective. How do you choose a good PLR site? Simple. Find a PLR service that's been around for awhile and offers professionally written and edited content that's sold in limited quantities. That will ensure that you're not getting recycled PLR from an unsavory reseller, but are getting your hands on top-quality content.

Well, that's a quick intro to getting content for your site. I hope it gives you some ideas to help you build a booming internet business. My wish for you is to work smarter, not harder -- and watch your internet business grow!
